Membership Information
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
The Community YMCA has proudly served the Greater Red Bank community since 1874, promoting healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We offer a safe, family friendly environment.

JOINER’S FEE
First-time members and those whose memberships have expired over 90 days must pay a non-refundable Joiner's Fee in full upon joining/re-joining.
MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT
The Community YMCA offers a convenient monthly draft plan. Monthly draft plans allow you to have your membership fee automatically deducted from your checking account or charged to your credit card (VISA, Discover, MasterCard or AMEX ). A service charge of $30 will be applied to any accounts that have
insufficient funds or decline charges. Draft memberships are continuous until the end of the month in which written notice is submitted to the Membership Department. Membership fees are nonrefundable. Membership fees are based on enrollment, not facility usage.

MEMBERSHIP OPTIONS Effective January 2, 2008
HEALTH SERVICE MEMBERSHIP (HSC) Health Service membership includes:
• Health Service Cardiovascular Center
• Health Service locker rooms, including steam room, sauna and towel service
• Free interchangeable group cycling, mind/body, aquatic and land fitness classes
• Free Child Watch Services
• Bodman and Huber swimming pools and whirlpool spa
• Running/walking track/ Personal Training Center
• Gymnasium
• CYBEX wellness center
• Free weight room
• Community center
• Priority registration and special rates on programs
*HSC Family Memberships – parents receive HSC Membership privileges. Dependents 17 years and younger receive FAC Membership privileges. Additional adults 24 years and older added to a family membership will receivce HS priveledges.
Family Membership includes 2 adults and any number of children ages 23 and under living in the household. Proof of Id may be required.
FACILITY MEMBERSHIP (FAC) Facility Membership includes:
• Bodman and Huber swimming pools and whirlpool spa
• Running/walking track
• Gymnasium
• CYBEX wellness center
• Free weight room
• Community center
• Priority registration and special rates on programs

Family Membership Additions
Adults 24-61 years of age can be added to a family membership for an additional $45 per month. Seniors ages 62 and older can be added for an additional $30 per month. Caregivers/AuPairs are considered adults.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift Certificates are available for memberships, and other YMCA items. Giving a YMCA gift certificate is the perfect way to give the gift of health and wellness to someone you love. Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase. The certificates must be presented at the time of redemption. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.
Aquatics
FAMILY SWIM
Family Swim is for Health Service and Facility Members with Family Memberships. A family may bring in two guests at the appropriate guest fees.
SWIM LESSON NOTES
The YMCA strives to provide consistent instruction; however, reserves the right to substitute instructors during a session. The National YMCA Swim program is a progressive program based on accomplishing a certain skill set for each level. A child will only advance to the next level after completing the appropriate skill level evaluation. During weeks 5-6, children will be evaluated and guardians informed of recommended level. There are no credits or refunds granted due to missed classes.
AQUATIC NOTES
Updated schedules for the Bodman and Huber Pools are available in the Lobby.
ADULT LAP SWIM - is for Health Service or Facility Members, 18 years and older who can swim multiple laps.
LAP SWIM - is for Health Service or Facility Members who can swim multiple laps.
ADULT SWIM - is for Health Service or Facility Members, 18 years and older.
TEEN SWIM - Teens can swim laps Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
OPEN SWIM - is for all Health Service or Facility Members.
Children 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by parents in the pool areas. Any child wearing a flotation device must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water.
• Swim caps MUST be worn if hair length is below the ear.
• Toys and floats are not permitted in either pool.
• Lifeguards determine a child’s ability to swim in “Lap Swim” by the following criteria: they must be able to swim four lengths of freestyle with five seconds rest for each length AND backstroke with five seconds rest per length. All children in diapers need to wear swimming diapers with rubber pants over them.
SWIM LESSON FEES
Health Service/Facility Members: 1/2 hour lesson $70.00
Non-Member: 1/2 hour lesson $155.00
Private Lessons are made by appointment only.
YCARES FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
All are welcome at The Community YMCA, regardless of their ability to pay the full price for membership and programs. Our annual Strong Kids Campaign and special events fund the YCares financial assistance program. Applying is simple and confidential. Contact the Welcome Center for more information at (732) 741-2504.
Through a financial assistance program, YCares, those who require subsidies for our services can apply for them. The aid is distributed on a need based, sliding scale. For those who would like to apply for YCares, please download and complete the YCares application.
